I am looking at buying a house in warm mineral springs area about a mile and a half from the springs, and yesterday a friend said the crime rate is really bad in that area and I should stay away. I live near Baltimore Md so crime is relevant to the area. Any insites on Vience, mineral springs, and north port? Thanks

I think City Data has crime info and I know there are many other websites that also provide various types of info on crime in a given area. I personally like crimemapping.com for my own research because it has pretty updated crime reports right down to the address. Anyway, it's better to find objective info than it is to rely on subjective opinions.

There are a lot of Russian and Ukranian people that live in that area. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Many still speak their native language. There are ethnic churches and restaurants and such in the area also. Eastern Europeans love the springs and buy property as close to the springs as possible.

I would call the North Port Police and ask about the crime in the area.
