Well it will probably be late June now when I can officially leave where I am here in Pinellas to return to Sarasota. Seriously.. I feel theres a lot to look forward to. I get to be near more people I know for starters, I like how traffic is a lot less also. Just more relief. And whats good is I know where fully not to go in Sarasota and that's N Tamiami Trail area and 301 or around those areas. If not there, I find its generally more pleasant in the Sarasota/Bradenton area and I figure I'd tell you all, I cant wait to move there. Its well needed and I plan on being part of the community or whatever community I move to around there. I know for sure I will be in a nice neighborhood though and am looking at places now on craigslist. My budget I don't like to discuss because people could discourage and I know theres a lot of realtors on here. I just know that more people I know live down there, I been talking to a girl who lives down there for a year too. Maybe I can see my stepdad more too. He might have shut off from me because I didn't come nearby or moved too far.. God only knows but I am going to find out.

I am still near beaches, I can still get the life I want.. I am just getting too old now and too mature for the city crap and drama, riff raff or overgrown children. I want a slower life and I feel I came to the right place or will be coming to the right place. Otherwise I risk some bad things happening to me where I am now and I worry about myself big at times or the people who could mess with me, want to fight me out of jealousy or whatever. I just want away from a high % of people who just never get ahead, they're fine living in the hood, they don't want to be any better in life or they're daytime drunks, renting prostitutes. Picture N Tamiami Trail only bigger areas of it out around Largo/Clearwater. Prostitution off the chain. Drug dealers off the chain, trouble people with criminal records = off the chain.

Someone like me should be respected for wanting to remove myself from all that and try to start again frankly. I fear for my safety at times in these parts. Again though I wont discuss my financial situation or budget but lets just say I can get extra money to get into a good area if I have to. Its bad if you cant take a walk in your own neighborhood though. I could be going from that to an area with Webber or Clark, even University if I have to. Night and day difference for sure, that's why I am so excited about this.

And also for the record.. if someone does want to meet in the real world and wants to talk to me here or in private, let me know. I am always up for new learning experiences or meeting cool people. I have various interests from fishing (if I can ever do it) to target shooting, to smoking cigars. So let me know if you ever do want to talk. I want to stay in the Sarasota area for a long time and make it work. I lived in Manatee for 7 yrs from 2004-2011 also, spent some time in Parrish also and if you remember who I was, I have done a lot of growing up since then. A LOT.

Hey - good for you - interesting to hear how other nearby areas have a lot of crime - I am so used to living here in this area where nothing really happens that bad. It makes me feel more grateful to be able to live in such a beautiful, safe area.

Exactly.. why you think I wanna return? Its tame in comparison even still after all these years, after University Mall was built too. They should never try to make it like out here though under any condition though.

Good for you John!

After 18 months in Sarasota, my husband's job transferred us to Fort Lauderdale which we absolutely love, but it isn't Sarasota. We also have close family in Sarasota.

We'll definitely retire on the west coast in or around Sarasota just trying to figure out that timeline now.

Congrats!
