I am considering a job in Sarasota, but would like to live somewhere between Sarasota and the Tampa/Brandon area due to family in Brandon. Would appreciate suggestions for safe areas, maybe a little outside the city as I kind of like a country atmosphere. What about Parrish or Ruskin? Any other ideas?

Thanks so much!

I think Parrish would be a good choice. While it is a bit more developed than it used to be, it still retains a somewhat rural vibe, and is easily accessible to all the areas you need to be. I personally don't recommend Ruskin but you might want to check it out, you never know if you might like it.

Thank you. I'll check out both areas when I get there.

I used to live in the Lutz/Wesley Chapel area. Very nice, but too far from Sarasota.

Someone who adjusts a big diesel truck so when they floor it, it emits tons of black smoke, "rolling coal". As it is called, actually quite funny when it happened at a few trump protests.

Anyway, we relocated from the northeast to Parrish in 2014 and had nice house built, itvis really growing and seems very safe , I would check it out, close to Sarasota, and 1/2 hour or so to Brandon.
