Nice to see that a lot of events are free or a reasonable fee. I wonder about the parking for events on Siesta Key, such as the Drum Circle at sunset, or the farmer's markets in Siesta Key and downtown Sarasota. From everything I've read, the parking for Siesta Key beach is very tight and hard to find. Same with downtown, though there may be public parking decks available. Is downtown parking expensive?

Thanks for putting together the extensive list of events. For those of us researching the area, it's a nice list of what is going on, and gives us an idea of the wide range of activities in the Sarasota area.

Parking downtown, especially if you're coming in late can be tough. I saw a young guy selling parking $5 at a private business pretty close to the Starbucks downtown.

I've gone to the market several times and have even parked at the marina and walked up to the market. It's a nice walk and found parking (10 a.m. or so) without a problem. I guess you just have to be able to walk a little.
