Hi Everyone,

Hope you all have a great weekend, here is my list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area:



THURSDAY - SATURDAY

Harvey Milk Festival -- celebration of music, art, film & theatre. Various locations in Sarasota, including Sunday's event at J D Hamel Park, 2:30 pm - midnight.

FRIDAY

Baseball: Palm Beach Cardinals at Bradenton Marauders, 6:30 pm, LECOM Field in Bradenton.



FRIDAY - SATURDAY

Outdoor Pops -- Sarasota Orchestra performs at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, 8 pm. Fireworks after each performance. Tickets $15 - $45.

US Rowing SE Youth Championships -- Nathan Benderson Park, 8 am - approx 5 pm.



SATURDAY

Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.

Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.

Bradenton Farmers Market -- downtown Bradenton on Old Main Street, 9 am - 2 pm.

Youth Fishing Tournament -- at Nokomis Beach on Casey Key, ages 1 - 14. Registration 8 am, fishing tournament 8:30 - 10:30 am. Pre-registration call 486-2780.

Rose Festival -- award winning roses on display, rose bushes for sale, seminars. Free admission. Phillippi Estate Park mansion, 10 am - 3 pm.

Baseball: Palm Beach Cardinals at Bradenton Marauders, 6:30 pm, LECOM Field.

Goat Yoga -- at Fruitville Grove, 10 - 11:30 am. Contact Fruitville Grove for reservations, cost.

Tarpon Tournament -- Runs thru June 17th. By the Sarasota Sports Fishing Anglers Club, proceeds to benefit local charities, $125 entry fee. Info at: Sarasota Tarpon Tournament

Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I -- performance at 8 pm, Van Wezel. Info at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall: Sarasota, Florida.

Black & White Masquerade Ball -- at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, starts at 6 pm. Fund raising event. Cocktails, dinner, dancing & auction. Black tie optional. Ticket info at: https://sarasota.eventful.com/venues...01-011140497-0



SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Airfest -- at MacDill AFB in Tampa. Free event, Blue Angels & other airshow performances, displays, entertainment. Gates open at 8 am.

SUNDAY

Bridge Street Market --great farmers market option on Anna Maria Island, 10 am - 3 pm

Coquina Beach Market -- at the south end of Coquina Beach, 10 am - 4 pm

Siesta Key Farmers Market -- Siesta Village Plaza, 8 am - 2 pm

Siesta Key Drum Circle -- just before sunset at Siesta Key public beach, everyone welcome.

Ski-A-Rees Ski Show -- 2 pm at 1602 Ken Thompson Parkway (behind Mote Marine).



Mother's Day Brunch offerings:


Marie Selby Botanical Gardens -- brunch buffet catered by Michael's on East, seatings 10:30 am - 1:30 pm plus admission to gardens. $70 for adult members, $80 for adult non-members; $30 children 4-11, free for children under 4. Valet will be available for all brunch guests, and a trolley will be available from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. from Sarasota Friendship Center

Powel Crosley Estate -- dine inside or by the bay, live music, cash bar. Breakfast includes a waffle station, traditional breakfast options, seafood, tea sandwiches and specialty quiches, as well as a carving station featuring ham and New York strip loin. Seatings are at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; cost is $48 for adults, $27 for children 3-11, free for children under 3.

Muse at the Ringling -- Brunch includes toasted coconut pancakes, crab cake scrambled eggs, short rib potato skins and eggs-in-a-hole brioche french toast. 11 am - 3 pm. Call (941) 360-7390 for reservations.

Marina Jack -- Brunch stations include traditional breakfast, salad, carving and dessert plus specialty items like shrimp cocktail and glazed salmon. Starts at 10 a.m. Admission is $39.95/adult, $22.95 for children under 9. Reservations required; call (941) 365-4232

Pier 22 -- Bradenton on the riverfront. Buffet offerings include baked goods, fresh seafood stations and craft-your-own omelet stations. Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $4. 10 am - 3 pm. $34.95/adult and $14.95 for children, plus tax and 20 percent gratuity. Call (941) 748-8087 for reservations.
