Very small signs less than 50 feet from the camera.

Wow, hard to see in traffic. More revenue for the city, though, when drivers miss them.

I think I recall seeing pretty good sized signs in St Petersburg a few years ago, well in advance of the intersection with the red light cameras. But now St Pete has taken all the red light cameras down due to low revenue.

'due to low revenue'. Revenue is the only reason the cities have them.
I read an article where NYC has hundreds of red light cameras and has now added hundreds of speed cameras. One camera is located at the exit of a highway onto a service road where the speed limit drops to 25 mph. On the first day of operation, the cameras made over $93,000 for the city.

Good news for vehicle owners/drivers in TEXAS. Their governor just signed a bill to ban red light cameras in the state of Texas, to become effective September 1.
Years ago, Lubbock was one of the first cities to have red light cameras. They became national news when they were caught reducing the time for the 'yellow' light to increase revenue.
The FL House passes a bill every year but the Red light camera companies lobbyist$ with a million dollars stop a bill from getting out of committee hearings in the $enate.

Yes, very good news for Texas. Bad news for Florida. With so many visitors in many areas of Florida who aren't aware of where they are located or miss the signs, it's a gold mine.

I drove for 30 years in two parts of the mid-atlantic and new england we (wife and I) never got a ticket.

First month in this area we got three. Just got another red-light ticket.

It's the perfect scam. Completely failed intersections and roads that often force you to be 1/10th of a second on one side or the other of "the law"........
