Hello everyone.... I'm hoping someone on this board has experiences with Lincoln Middle in Palmetto. I've lived in the area my whole life and have heard nothing but bad. Our neighborhood is districted for Lincoln, even though Buffalo Creek is five minutes away and my daughter will be starting middle school Fall 2010. It seems a long way off but it's really not. I was going to try and choice my daugher into Buffalo Creek but unless it's an extreme circumstance, I guess they're not being granted. I've look at private schools but I honestly don't think I can afford it. Anyone have any insight? I know it's middle school but my daughter is still my baby.

Keep her out of Lincoln if you can. I used to work for the district and my husband currently does.. I wouldn't send my daughter there. I wouldn't send my DOG there! Especially with BC nearby, thats a great school with a great staff!

Yeah, don't bet on it, it's all politics. A good friend of mine with years experience was subbing for an entire year in the district. She was promised the job for the following year, she is highly qualified mind you, with ESOL endorsments- They passed her up and took a friend of someone..thats just how it works..

Thumbs down No-No!!

I agree with Oobie, Lincoln is a big no-no. Too much goes on at that school, and I wouldn't step 1 foot through that door. I would be a nervous wreak.

Good Luck with Buffalo Creek!

Thanks everyone.... I've heard from some kids that go to Lincoln but I wanted honest opinions from adults.
