For any location, we would like to know what the time range for things like the Disaster reports such as this one for Sarasota county:
Natural disasters: The number of natural disasters in Sarasota County (25) is a lot greater than the US average (13). Major Disasters (Presidential) Declared: 17 Emergencies Declared: 5 Causes of natural disasters: Hurricanes: 9, Tropical Storms: 6, Fires: 5, Floods: 5, Storms: 4, Tornadoes: 2, Freeze: 1, Wind: 1 (Note: some incidents may be assigned to more than one category).

From when to when? In the last 10 years? one year, before or after the later huge hurricanes of 2016 to present?

Confusing questions, but go to the national weather service or FEMA for timeframes, you can't control "disasters" anyway

Past disasters really are not usually indicative of future issues except in extreme cases. Unless you live in a known flood plane or next to a volcano...

They use government data, so it probably goes back as far as data is available.

For example, you can search Disasters declared on the FEMA website. The FEMA information appears to go back to 1953.

Not sure where CD's data date range is from. But if you wanted Hurricane averages for general locations then the US National Hurricane Center (NHC) provides information here: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/climo/
