You do realize that being ridiculous has never stopped Trump’s agenda before?

Brazilian president's press secretary tests positive for coronavirus, days after meeting Trump
The police motorcycle escort all self=quarantined after hearing the Brazilians had some positive cases
I think that is really overkill for most of those people
I doubt they came within close contact
But it is paid leave I imagine

Now Trump and Pence shook hands and interacted with the Brazilians
So their changes of being exposed are pretty high—
Trump and Pence both still deny they have been tested
I really doubt that
They have probably been tested twice a day...

UPDATE 3/13/2020

2 New Positives in Sarasota County overnight. One person 70 year old male resident of MA is currently in isolation at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. One person 50 year old male resident of NY.

Unknown if they are snowbirds or whether they recently arrived in Sarasota County from their home state. No known travel to other countries by both of these people. Both of these might be community spread.

Crap! Hope some really warm weather will have a positive effect, but no one seems to really know one way or the other.

The major problem (outside of the severity of the illness itself) is that so many seniors in our area don’t have family to help them. And most of their circle are seniors like themselves so very at risk to be involved helping someone who is ill. That means a real overload on the medical facilities
How many nursing homes in Sarasota County or assisted living or small group homes???
And people w/dementia/Alzheimer’s are not going to be able to follow any health directives

Going to be a problem of epic proportion
The last hurricane did damage because of lost power
Power won’t be the issue in this case—at least initially
And consider how FPL brought in workers from our of state to help bring back the system
Did a really good job for the most part
But you can’t bring in other medical workers if all areas are equally effected or states think they will be seeing number increase...

My daughter teaches in Sarasota schools
They are probably going to use the Miami’s district’s plan to go virtual
For her that won’t be a problem
Very tech savvy
Uses her white board and tablets with her students daily
But some teachers at her school will stroke out
They aren’t that good—have been there forever—and never use the Internet or white board

My daughter is sponsor for Prom at her school
She is very concerned that it will be cancelled in May if severity of infection is still prominent...

You do realize this spreads INSIDE more than outside so in HVAC space temps are normally 76 or so

It is correct and proper to be prepared and cautious. But there is no reason to pee in peoples cheerios who are trying to be glass half full instead of all gloom and doom.
