Anyone living in an HOA or Condo Association had their amenities closed yet? Pools, gyms, activities? What's closed and when was it closed and for how long?

I'm particularly interested in Sarasota County communities.

Yes, here was our HOA email from a couple days ago:

Quote:
Effective tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 ALL GROUP/CLUB ACTIVITIES, CLASSES, MEETINGS AND EVENTS ARE TO BE POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The clubhouse and swimming pool will remain open, however, we will continue monitoring the situation daily and will alert you if we decide it’s in the best interest of the community to close either or both the clubhouse and the swimming pool.
So no potlucks, card games, yoga classes, etc. But the clubhouse is still available, as is the fitness center and pool.

Just the clubhouse, including gym, the theatre and organized activities.
We can still use the bocce, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts.
The pools are open but everyone spreads out, just a bit more than usual.

At our EscapeWinter house community in North Venice, the 'social side' club house is closed, (big building/meeting rooms/dining/bars/workout/ex classes, et al), but the pools are open as are the 6 Har-Tru tennis courts.
Dining of any kind there is closed until sometime in 'April'.

The golf side clubhouse is open as is the course, (most of us golf members have our own carts), but dining and formal bar is closed and grill room is barely open, and not for long.

All HOA/POA meetings and every on campus group/meeting of any kind is cancelled until further notice.
Makes sense to me.

Since my earlier post, guess we've gone under further lockdown, per today's email.

ALL Homeowner Association amenities effective today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. These temporary closures include the:
  • Entire clubhouse
  • Swimming pool, fire pit and outdoor restrooms
  • Outdoor sports courts and the dog park
  • All group/club activities, classes, meetings and events continue to be postponed until further notice
Honestly some of this seems a bit too much. The dog park? Really?

I wonder if this is legal guidance.

My community has shut down everything. Gym, community pool, community tennis courts. I'm glad there isn't a gated entrance here. But they will probably fine me if I don't pay someone to pressure wash my leaky roof.

Some changes at our Winter Joint Community as of this eve...

Dining of any kind there is closed until sometime in 'April'.

EDIT: As of this evening, the 'social clubhouse' and all of its facilities are closed, inc pools, tennis courts, et al.

The golf side clubhouse is open as is the course, (most of us golf members have our own carts), but dining and formal bar is closed and grill room is barely open, and not for long.

EDIT: Our golf course and golf club building remain open with very strict rules both in and out on course, and affecting related processes that one usually encounters in/around a golf clubhouse. But, for us addicted, we can still be outside/distancing and chasing the ball.

All HOA/POA meetings and every on campus group/meeting of any kind is cancelled until further notice.
Makes sense to me.

Manatee County here. Everything's shut down at ours -- clubhouse, shuffleboard, AND pool. Apparently there was a protest at the pool Sunday night from some rebels who want it kept open.

Hillsborough County - retirement community of about 10,000 everything is shut down fitness, pools, golf courses, even the management office for the association is very limited. Seems to me that my community is doing everything that is being asked by CDC and political leaders.

Unfortunately, there is a segment of the community who for some reason think this is all a hoax. I'm not sure where they got that idea.

Could’ve some uncertainty regarding pets spreading? Being contaminated? Asymptomatic?
Our CDC specifically mentions pets in the household: wash your hands, etc treatment

There was a dog in HK - tested positive several times for COVID in an isolated shelter after his owner got COVID. Who infected who? Dog initially had no symptoms, but had virus in his nose, mouth and poop.
Unfortunately dog died 3 days after testing negative for the virus before he was re-United with the owner after owner’s recovery
The owner refused an autopsy- so we would never know for sure- the dog was old-17 y.o. Pomeranian
