Is it recommended to buy tickets for this event in advance, or is it just as easy to pay at the evening of the event? Any chance of a sell-out? Any weather concerns?

Thanx

As far as a sell out, I'd think not because it's a block party. Tents will be set up for beverages/food/downtown displays, there are a limited # of seats for the catwalk, so best thing to do is get there early....no weather worries yet, it's before hurricane season!

Ladywithafan,
Can you tell me about parking for this event? Also, when you say "get there early", the event starts at 7PM. What is early?

best,

I'd say early is 6:30. I live around the corner from Burns Court so I'll be walking & my friends will park by me. As for regular parking, there's parking all over on the side streets all around, you can also park in the Whole Foods Garage & walk over, also you can check Palm Ave., south of Ringling, down by me....

I'll have a tye dye from 1987 wrapped around some part of me so I can be found!...it's either that or a beanie with a pink feather

You'll have a fabulous time, in fact, I didn't even realize that tomorrow is May 1st and downtowns going to close this weekend, Saturday is the Cinco de Mayo block party!

LWAF,
I just bought the tix and a have a quick question for you. From Clark and Honore is it easier to jump on 75 and go west on Fruitville or just go west on Clark until 41 and go north?

Still learning my way around,

You'd be wise to take 75 North to Fruitville and then West to downtown, no question!
