Would definitely suggest renting before buying if you are unfamiliar with the area. Often what looks good on paper doesn't turn out so well in reality. But renting is not always an option, especially if buyers have multiple pets.
Have you heard of the Legacy Trail in Sarasota? Great option for biking and the length of Legacy is in the process of being expanded substantially. Here's the link to more info:
