For a home listed in MLS for $1.5 million - what is the typical percent commission for listing agent and buyer's agent seen in Sarasota county right now? Some listing agents advertise discount percent overall but wondering whether they are discounting their own (listing agent) fee or whether there is a reduced commission for agent which brings the buyer also. I know this can vary by agency, agent and by the individual situation as well, so I am looking for typical ranges.

I know this can vary agent to agent and home to home, but what is the standard commission and split, out there for $1.5 million homes (and any priced home) . What is the low/high range for both.

Is there somewhere I can search these percentages for a given home that sold (or is for sale currently) , without an agent login to see this info.
Zillow had the commission percent listed in one home I reviewed, but this wasn't available in many other homes I viewed. Not sure why.

Thank you

New rules came out where they have to disclose the buyer's agent commission that is being offered but I don't know that they have to list what the seller's agent makes. I've seen 1.5% being floated around and I believe that's what Redfin charges but I think most real estate agents still stick to that 2.5% - 3% for each side so 5-6% total. It's on Zillow, just buried in there so you have to click on see more information and scroll all the way down to extra financial info and you should see what they are offering to the buyer's agent. Redfin I think has it more prominently listed at times otherwise you have to do the same thing where you just have to start digging into and then scrolling down the page till you see it. I've seen it in a few different sections on Redfin so you really just have to look for it, generally easiest to look for the % symbol as they don't use it often otherwise.

Edited to note that listing agent and seller's agent are the same thing to me, with the buyer's agent being the person who represents the buyer in the purchase.
