River Road was supposed to begin construction in January...February 2nd, I have not seen a thing, have you?

I avoid it as much as possible, so maybe I just have not gone that way in a while, and missed it

I hope widening and extending the I-75 exit ramp coming from Sarasota is part of it. That ramp is backing up all the way to where it begins, & that is VERY dangerous.

The official project page just says construction starts "early 2022". The did just have a public comment forum a week ago.

River Road from US 41 to I-75 in Sarasota County, Florida - About the Project

The I-75 ramps are not part of the project.

Thx! Fortunately, I can avoid River Road almost completely. I was just curious about it, & concerned about the ramp traffic backing upto I-75. I guess a few people will need to die before they take action, which is standard operating procedure.

I feel sorry for the poor souls that must travel River Road daily though.

The design looks nice, but the overall width of it will certainly impact residential properties/homeowners along that corridor.

I sure hope Realtors are honest and tell prospective buyers about just how close this project will come to the backyards of the homes closeby.

Are Realtors fiduciaries? Are they legally compelled to tell prospective buyers about this, or be liable in a lawsuit?

I see some of the properties running along there are asking nearly $900,000. Those prices will all need to be significantly reduced, unless an unsuspecting Northerner buys one not knowing of how wide this is to be.

Orange barrells are out, trees are being cut down to make way for the widening. Let the madness begin.

Yes realtors are fiduciaries.
