Hi Everyone,

Here's a list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area this weekend:



THURSDAY

Mote SEAsonal Tastings at Nathan Benderson Park -- benefit event, food provided by area restaurants, tickets required, 6 - 9:30 pm. See Mote's site for more info.



FRIDAY

Music in the Park -- free music concert at the Rossi Park Pavilion, Riverwalk, Bradenton, 6 - 8 pm, bring lawn chairs.

Stations of the Cross -- walk the stations of the cross down Sarasota's Main Street, starts at Hollywood 11 Theaters, 7:30 - 8:30 am.

Hernando De Soto Childrens Parade -- lots of floats, marching bands. Starts at 10 am @ Palmetto High School/ Manatee County Fairgrounds & ends up at Sutton Park for celebration until 2 pm.

Sarasota Jungle Gardens: Jungle Trails & Bunny Tails -- egg hunts 10 am - 3 pm, petting zoo, reptile & bird shows. Bring your own baskets. Gardens open 10 am - 5 pm, tickets $21.99/adult, children 4 - 12/$14.99.

Easter Egg Hunt -- University Town Center Mall, 12 - 3 pm, ages 2 - 12, live entertainment, games, bounce houses.



FRIDAY - SUNDAY

Rites of Spring Festival -- an art /rock music festival at Sarasota Opera House, tickets $250/event.



SATURDAY

Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.

Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.

Bradenton Farmers Market -- on Old Main Street (400 12th St W), 9 am - 2 pm. Veggies, organics, fresh eggs, seafood and more.

Venice Farmers Market -- at the City Hall, 401 W Venice Ave, 8 am - 1 pm.
Summer Hours: 8 am - noon.

Goat Yoga -- yoga with the goats at Fruitville Groves, starts 10:30 am, $30/person. 7410 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota.

Lake Sarasota Easter Egg Hunt -- free event, children up to age 12, starts 10:30 am, 7255 Hand Rd.

Easter Egg Hunt -- Southside Elementary School in Sarasota, 10 am - noon, RSVP required at redrockparklife.eventbrite.com, use password Stroll.

Venice Easter Egg Hunt -- 2 locations. Blalock Park 10 - 11:30 am, Centennial Park 11:30 am - 1 pm.

World Circus Day at Showfolks -- tour of facilities, meet the performers, kids activities, free hot dogs & soda, flea market. 10 am - 4 pm, free admission, 5204 N. Lockwood Ridge Rd, Sarasota.

World Circus Day at Ringling Circus Museum -- children ages 17 & under get in free with adult paying admission/ $25. Open 10 am - 5 pm.

Freedom Day Rally -- patriotic speakers, flags. Robarts Arena parking lot at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds, 10 am - 1 pm.



SUNDAY

Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market -- Waterside Place, 10 am - 2 pm. (Closed Easter Sunday)

The Meadows Farmers Market -- At the Meadows shopping village off Honore, 10 am - 2 pm.

Polo at Lakewood Ranch -- Gates open 10 am, matches 1 - 4 pm.

Easter egg drop from a helicopter.

The Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show -- show at 2 pm, Ken Thompson Park on City Island.

Siesta Key Drum Circle -- at Siesta Key beach every Sunday about an hour before sunset.

Easter Egg Hunt - Colonial Baptist Church in Sarasota, starts 10:30 am, free.

Newtown Spring Festival -- Live music (including gospel), entertainment, vendors, food trucks, kids activities. Easter Egg hunt at 3 pm. 1 - 5 pm, Robert Taylor Community Center.

Lido Beach Pavillion - 6:30 am
Siesta Key Beach - 6:30 am
Manatee County Beach on Anna Maria Island - 6:30 am
Tabernacle Church grounds, 4141 Desoto Rd, Sarasota - 7 am

FYI-called Bijou b/c of your list but they are not opening for brunch this year (nor is their sister SAGE)
