I've found one media and financial guy who actually tells it like it is in the Sarasota Manatee market, that guy is on the radio, Phil Grande

One of the condos I mentioned just had another price cut today. $19,100

Another villa was just listed today for 389k, appears to be a rental and another house listed for 442k today 3 bedroom which will see price slashing.

I'm wondering now as I described it's the economy people are worried with rising rates and inflation that they won't be able to cash out.

More houses in general are being put on the market now down in this region. IMO sign investors and people wanting to sell their houses are worried about not unloading for top dollar.

I saw a house in Nokomis in a new Development that came on the market on 5/12 for $694K, but after just 2 weeks it is $645K.

You will see more of this^^ very soon in pockets.

I bet it will get reduced again just right before the Fed's upcoming increase in the fed funds rate!

I can see dropping it a tad, but thats a big drop in just two weeks. Why not wait a month before dropping it like that?

Zillow values comparable homes on this block at $550,000 - $650,000 and Zillow is aggressive. They were plainly overpriced.

Overpriced is not working with higher interest rates and snowbirds gone.

The one villa that had the 19k price slash finally sold. Another Villa that was listed had a pending sale, however 5 days later it was re-listed for the same price. Why would someone back out after 5 days? Inspection findings?

The other grossly overpriced house is still there.

The one that had a pending sale then listed again 5 days later I gotta wonder if they got cold feet. Due to the roofing issues in my sub division with the roofs not being nailed down, just stick on. Maybe they found out everyone was having to replace their roofs.

Seeing more price reductions. There is this lovely house in my area that had a 155k price reduction!

I'm thinking these people, especially with houses like 700k and more are getting bit antsy and wanting to unload with the uncertain times right now. These houses just are not moving like this one for example below.

Was listed back in March. Price cut mid April and hasn't moved.

Again, just about every frothy market falls apart, as I have said.

It's not a buyer's market, it was an OBVIOUS selling opportunity with just about anyone with a little common sense.

"What the market giveth, the Market taketh away" ......(in most any super fast run-up)

Lots of smart money is attempting to GET AHEAD OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE's fiscal and monetary policy moves.

Just wait, we'll certainly see !
