Some friends are down visiting in west Bradenton and texted us photos from the beach today. Obviously no issues with red tide, no dead fish on the beach. Water looks beautiful today.

I'm wondering what happened to the MOTE site. Checking specific beach reports it says ”Observations reflected on Tuesday, March 14 2023, 9:43am”.

My great niece and friends went out on a boat today, prob to one of the outer islands. My BIL used to take us out when he was alive. Well they are young and I guess mom n dad w the beer in hand didn’t notice the youngest was lining up all the Dead Sea creatures, fish and skeletons etc in a nice row —- ugh. Hope they don’t get sick. The water was clear, but shoreline still full of fish. Hope the rains n wind move it down or something.

I was out in a boat 2x in the past 10 days, all around Boca Grande/Gasparilla Island, & we saw no dead fish in the water. We didn't get close enough to land, so I'll take your word for it. There were no dead fish in the backwater canals along the Bay side of Gasparilla Island, or at the marina.

The 1st ride we took, we did encounter mild Red Tide symptoms of a few coughs as we were pulling out of the marina, so I deployed N-95 masks for us all, & they worked like a charm for the 10 minutes we needed them. Then, we were out of it. When we returned...no signs of Red Tide in the same place...just outside the Marina in Placida.

The Tarpon are here at Boca Grande pass, & they are jumping out of the water en masse...what a sight to see....really large fish that are shiny like chrome...Hundreds of them schooling, & breaching. They are here to eat a small crab that arrive here each Spring.

I have the pictures from FB. I was not there. It’s was a birthday and 5 girls on a boat. I don’t know exactly where.

Here’s the RT link for the 14th April
