Wow, that's funny as well ! I'll have to see today what the "fund RAISER" is for and for WHOM !

Hope it's not another Sarasota scam/benefit/collection !

Thanks

Wow....the Turkey Trot it seems benefits The Nathan Benderson PARK CONSERVANCY ....another 501c3 lol....

As if the Benderson Construction needs to ask for money for ANYthing ! LOL

Neither does Fit2Run the developer of the other "foundation"

Most people don't realize that many of these "foundations" are legal "scams" for tax purposes.

Whatever ! Caveat Emptor - especially here in Sarasota/Manatee. I've seen this stuff proliferate "in your face " for decades here! And if you "call it out", then you're not a member of the club and are not a "good citizen"...LOL....yeah, right.

Charity fraud schemes seek donations for organizations that do little or no work—instead, the money goes to the fake charity's creator.

Americans contributed more than $485 billion to charity in 2020, according to the Giving USA Foundation’s annual report on U.S. philanthropy. That generosity supports many amazing organizations that put those billions to work for health care, education, environmental protection, the arts and numerous other causes. (Sarasota is target rich "for the Arts" LOL).

Unfortunately, it also opens a door for scammers, who capitalize on donors’ goodwill to line their pockets.

We as area residents perhaps need to advise and filter a ton of the EVENTS. That' would be a great service .....far more valuable than advertising "events" that just might be fleecing you all in the name of "A Good Cause".

Happy Happy ! Watch your wallet!
