For those who travel between Sarasota and NY, how do you find the Jet Blue flights? We had a flight cancelled Friday. I was able to get a seat for Saturday flight, wife for Sunday. Now her flight is cancelled. This also happened to her multiple times trying to get home during winter break.
There were no weather issues causing any of the delays.

Is this a frequent occurrence on this route, or did we just hit some bad luck?

Smaller airlines using small airports is a crapshoot.

They have no "plan B".

Its just the way things are.

I had the same happen out of Punta Gorda using Allegiant to Providence. Flight cancelled for mechanical issues on a Thursday morning, and the next flight out was Sunday!

I suggest not using small airlines out small airports for time sensitive flights. I learned my lesson.

IMO, if you're flying to any of the 3 main airports in NY (JFK, EWR, LGA), the delay is likely not caused by JetBlue, it's the FAA that's super zealous in halting flight traffic for any kind of weather event, even when the weather event was just a sprinkle of rain. These are some of the biggest and busiest airports in the country, and the most horribly managed, IMO. I avoid connecting there like a plague as a result. FAA really needs to hire more ATC staff to help monitor traffic properly, but that's another rant for another day.

I personally think JetBlue is one of the better airlines in the country. Their customer service is easy to reach and helpful, and they don't nickle and dime you to death like Frontier.
