Here's a list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area this weekend.
MARCH 16 - 29
Circus Sarasota -- circus shows featuring top US & European performers. Big Top Tent, Nathan Benderson Park on Regatta island. More info at:

MARCH 1 - AUGUST 30
Yoga on the Beach -- Siesta Key Public Beach, 9 am - 10:30 am each Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat.
FRIDAY
Music in the Park -- Bradenton's Riverwalk Park 6 - 8 pm at the pavilion.
Hernado DeSoto Childrens Parade -- Palmetto. Starts at the Manatee County Fairgrounds at 10 am, ends at Sutton & Lamb Parks with games, food, entertainment.
Good Friday in Payne Park -- event runs 5:30 - 9 pm. Kids Zone activities 5:30 - 6:30, Helicopter egg drop 6:30, Good Friday Service 7 pm followed by Nik Wallenda high wire walk. Free admission.
Egg-Stravaganza at UTC Mall -- indoors egg hunt, outdoors bounce houses & other activities. 12 - 2 pm.
Stations of the Cross Observance -- 14 stations walk in downtown Sarasota starting at 7 am on Main Street at the Regal Hollywood Movie Theater.
FRIDAY - SATURDAY
Tampa Bay Airfest -- at MacDill Air Force Base, 8 am - 5 pm. Huge event.

SATURDAY
Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.
Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.
Bradenton Farmers Market -- on Old Main Street (400 12th St W), 9 am - 2 pm.
Venice Farmers Market -- at the City Hall, 401 W Venice Ave, 8 am - 1 pm.
Summer Hours: 8 am - noon.
Selby Gardens Family Saturdays -- activity stations for the family, 10 am - noon. Included in regular admission prices.
My Hometown Fest -- 40+ restaurants providing food samplings, craft beers & spirits, live music. Fundraiser at Nathan Benderson Park 12 - 5 pm, tickets $30 - $40.
The Meadows Country Club Easter Egg Hunt -- face painting, bounce houses, egg coloring & egg hunt. 11 am - 1 pm, $5/child.
Easter Egg Hunt at Siesta Key Chapel, 4615 Gleason, 9 - 11 am. For ages 12 & under.
Reptiday Sarasota -- all things reptile, Sahib Shrine Center at 600 N Beneva Rd, Sarasota, 10 am - 4 pm. Tickets purchased online, none sold at the doors.
Newtown Easter Parade & Spring Fling -- parade at 1 pm on Dr. MLK Way & Osprey to Coconut. Followed by Fling until 6 pm with food trucks, live music, activities.
SUNDAY
Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market -- Waterside Place, 10 am - 2 pm.
The Meadows Farmers Market -- At the Meadows shopping village off Honore, 10 am - 2 pm.
Wellen Park Farmers Market -- 9 am - 1 pm.
Polo at Lakewood Ranch -- gates open 10 am, starts at 1 pm, tickets $15 & up. Polo ticket and other info at:

EASTER SUNDAY: Helicopter Egg Drop at 1 pm for attendees.
The Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show -- free show, starts 2 pm, 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy by Mote
Sundays at the Bay -- free performance by various artists at The Oval on the Bay, 4 - 5:30 pm.
EASTER SUNDAY: Special Easter Performance.
Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle -- free event, people gather about an hour before sunset.
SUNRISE SERVICES -- 6:30 am (bring flashlights, lawn chairs)

6:45 am -- Venice's Maxine Barritt Park
Brunch at Selby Gardens -- brunch catered by Michael's on East, 3 seating sessions - 10:30 am, 12 noon, 1:30 pm. $50 - $69, reservations required.
Easter Grand Ballroom Brunch -- Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, 11 am - 3 pm. Elegant buffet, $165/adult, $65/child, reservations required.
