I've visited Florida a lot and I like it and I want to relocate somewhere warmer because I have lived in Maine all of my life. I am a huge beach person. Im looking for an area that has a good amount of night life and service jobs that people think is a relatively good area.

Miami is too expensive and I've heard a lot of bad things about it. I was thinking about Daytona too but people bash on that.

I am just looking for some general opinion from young people who understand what it is to want to be somewhere with an active night life culture who can direct me in the right place. Is Sarasoda too slow for me in that regard? I'm looking for a happy medium here. A place that is somewhat nice, but that still has some action. Everyone bashes all the best places for nightlife and young people here -- places like Miami, Jacksonville, Daytona, and Tampa. Is this just people who hold no value what so ever to nightlife and youth who are bashing these places or is there some validity? If so -- where else in Florida can I go that would be a good compromise? I need a plan. Thanks guys.

Im Str8 and looking for an area closer to a more spring break atmosphere. There has got to be a happy medium here somewhere guys. All I want is a suberb near a bunch of jobs, nightlife, and action but with minimized drawbacks. I know no place is perfect but...

just move to boston and come down here for spring break

if u must move to fla and really just care about partying, hot girls and finding a service job then ft lauderdale maybe but coming from maine u will get sick of that scene real fast, way way shady, etc etc. forget miami, not an option. st pete beach and clearwater beach are kinda quiet and siesta key is even quieter. same with ft meyers beach. maybe go west, try san diego...pacific beach in sd is a cool spot to chill for a bit.
