What smells is your ridiculous comparison of a grown man who we DO know, stayed quiet about child porn he received on his cell, & sent inappropriate texts to a child, to God. Asinine.
In case you didn't know, those are reason enough for prison. Child pornography is a federal crime in all fifty states as well as the District of Columbia.

Well photoman, Ive never seen this old thread before, but seeing someone comment as though what that man did was not that serious makes me sick, I don't care when it was implied.
And yes, as a disabled person, I do actually have a lot of time on my hands.

So why show the same outrage at God for getting a 13 year old virgin girl pregnant w/o her consent?

Firstly, you ASSume that I believe in God, the bible, & that I am christian. Never ASSume.
Secondly, for the sake of argument, in that famed story, there is no mention of age, she was made pregnant, though not through sex. That is why it was referred to as a miracle. God was not leering at her nude body, nor was he sending her filthy messages.
I hope your comment was facetious, because if not, you have my sympathy.

FYI, most Biblical scholars place Virgin Mary's age between 12 and 14. Yes, I am being facetious, but only to point out the nonsense in the Bible, not to justify what this guy did. For example, in the Bible it's OK to sell your daughter as a sex slave [Exodus 21:7-11]. It's also OK to rape a young virgin, and if the man is caught he must pay 50 pieces of silver to her father and must marry the girl [Deuteronomy 22:28-29]. So I ask the general audience again, if the Bible says it's OK to do these things, then what's so wrong about sending prurient text messages to a 16 year old which, in most states is above the legal age of consent (as is possessing non-pornographic pictures of naked minors [or else many parents would be thrown in jail for taking pics of their kids playing in a bathtub])? And if that is considered an outrage, then why do people worship the Bible so much?

wasnt the thread about a teacher and his conduct with a student. how is the comparison on the bible relevant? i can tell you when i see the big change in morals, when clinton got caught. he had that big debate on the news as to what is, is.. all the details and speculation was gone over and over. if a kid didnt know what it was that transpired with clinton in his office they sure did after that circus.

heard that monica just 50. dont little girls grow up quick. seems like it was just yesterday that she was crawling aroung the oval office putting everything in her mouth.

teachers should be held to a higher standard. when this goes on at the least they should lose their teaching certificate and be fired. then they should be prosecuted like anyone else with no plea bargaining. if they dont want to live and work by those standards then they shouldnt take the job.

Seriously, I don't put much stock in "scholars", or what they may or may not posticulate. As said above, your bible reference is immaterial.

Set up or not, had he done the right thing, rather than the lecherous thing, he'd be in the clear.
