I love diving Venice! It's an amazing place and there seems to be a good variety. I especially love collecting Meg Teeth there.

So, I live in Altamonte Springs, and am going through a divorce. Due to the nature of my business (the internet), I can live ANYWHERE I so choose. What are the options in Venice? Is there anything to do outside of diving? Thanks in advance!

I live in Venice, it's a great town. Obviously the beach is a major draw. The town layout makes everything convenient. I walk or bike to just about everything. With everything convenient people tend to be out and about so meeting your neighbors is easy.
There is a municipal golf course on the island, bike and walking paths along the intracoastal. There are many good restaurants, The Honoluana Grille by the airport has good live music with no cover Sharkeys on the gulf is always having events. There are two free boat ramps. There is a community art center, and the Venice Theater. The Venice Indians are doing well.

On Island housing -
Condos are available from under 100k on up.
Single Family from mid-200k on up.
There are numerous apartments options.

The Island of Venice is very quaint. There are many great restaurants-Althea's, Bella Luna's, Shark's on the beach. Everything is very convenient and low key. As you probably know, Venice Beach is known as "the shark's tooth capital of the world". The Venice Library is on the Island. There are things to do-it really depends on what your looking for.

If you want to travel a bit north to Sarasota there's the Sarasota Opera House, Van Wezel, the downtown area, movie theaters, Siesta Key beach, etc.

Property is not flying off the shelf right now so you should be able to find a good deal on the Island right now.
