Friends,
I am still learning my way around here and I think I ended up in the wrong part of town.
Yesterday around 10 AM I was trying to find a window blind repair shop which is on Princeton St. Princeton St. is about 3/4 mile north of MLK Blvd and just off 301. Was I in Newtown? I needed to get to back to Tamiani Trail. I decided to go back to 301/41 rather than cross over MLK Blvd to Tamiani Trail. Is driving down MLK Blvd a dicey drive in the daytime?

Thank you.

Nah, it's not that dicey. I have a listing on 29th St two streets north of MLK. I go out there are and talk to all the neighbors, etc. Never had any problem.

Ringling School of Art and Design is right on the corner of MLK & 301. There are art students walking around at all times of the day. If you're in that area stop in at Big E's for a sandwich-right across the street from Ringling on the corner of MLK. Good food and cheap for those starving artists.

But to answer your question, yes that is the area that people are referring to as "the bad part of town". I guess if you were down there selling crack or something it could get kinda dicey. It's not like downtown DC or anything
