We're considering some of these older developments in addition to the newer popular ones in Sarasota. We have questions re amenities (pool, tennis, social activites), fees ( HOA CCD?), safety, age of residents. Do folks feel isolated in these older developments- do the residents keep to themselves? It looked like Longwood bordered on the Longwood Athletic Club which sounded like it has unbelievable tennis but steep membership fees- do residents automatically belong or get a discount or does the community have its own few courts, pool etc. Same question re Bent Tree- if you don't join the Country Club are there any amenities you are entitled to? It's so hard to get a handle on the older developments since individual listings don't mention these things. I guess that's why Real Estate agents are so importantThanks for any input

Your beeswax but Bent Tree is super 'dated' in my opinion ...the Golf course is nice and kept very well, but some of the houses aren't that well kept or attractive
