The dog beach is on the south end of the island. If you're coming from englewood on 41 and come on to the Island over the Circus bridge. You take a left at the first traffic light once you've crossed the bridge on to Avenido del Circo, then right on Airport Ave, then left on Harbor. You'll pass Sharkys then you'll see the dog park enterance on your right.

Looks like FLBob gave out the directions It's a great little beach and really easy to find once you know where you're going. There were dogs running all over this afternoon. Little tiny yorkies and big huge Great Danes and every kind in between. Our dogs love it when we bring them there. It was kinda cool today cause there was a guy playing the guitar sitting right next to us and he was pretty good.

Thank You Everyone, we have been wondering where we could take the dogs on the beach since most places forbid it that we have been to so far,and were pretty sad about that!

The beach is a pretty good size and the people are friendly. It does stop at a certain point though and if you happen to go past where it ends of course there will be one or two who will yell at you. Just make sure you bring the clean up bags before you get to the beach area it could be a long walk back to find one.

The pickup is important, if there is too much noise about people not picking up we could loose this wonderful feature. I don't know any other beach in the area that you can get to by car where dogs are allowed.

Thanks for giving the location of the area designated for dogs. I now know the area NOT to go next time I go to the beach.

Default Questions

I take it the dogs can run off leash, yes? Also, what's the approximate size of the park?
