Hello! My family is originally from Florida, but I haven't been there in years, so I am not familiar with the area any longer. We are thinking of moving from TN to Sarasota next month. Can anyone suggest some good apartment complexes in some decent areas? I have 2 kids, so I am looking for something safe, etc. We are looking to stay in a 3 BR 2 BA for less than $1200, but obviously the cheaper the better. Is Palmer Ranch a good area? We found a pretty good deal on one there.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest-Palmer Ranch. My kids have several friends that live in Palmer Ranch. They all seem to be happy living there. It's also a pretty convenient location-close to the mall, restaurants, beach. You can probably pick a townhome/condo up in Palmer Ranch for somewhere around $1200 per month, especially off season or annually.

I agree, Palmer Ranch is very nice and so is Lakewood Ranch. Try looking into the university park area for rentals in the TH communities of Carolina Landings or Sabal Bay
