It seems like it takes forever but we wired the money today. We will be owners of a home in Port Charlotte , how cool is that ? In a week or so we will even get the deed.Made it real hard to get excited about going to work this morning. Thirty seven degrees this morning ,cold , wet and windy all day
Our plan is in two years to be there for good. My wife and mother are going down to do a little furniture shopping and painting.

Congrats on your closing. I can't speak for Port Charlotte, but in Sarasota I would highly recommend the higher end consignment stores for furniture. Looking back, we should have slept on air mattresses for two days and cherry picked at Iverson's or Simon's, instead of buying new at RTG. If you chose to buy retail, all the furniture stores are desperate for business. Sticker price means nothing.

Congratulations! We'll be down to look at houses next month. I'm hoping we'll find a place, too. We're looking forward to getting away from our cold, gray, snowy Pennsylvania winters.

Congratulations!
You are going to love SWFL!
I hope you get to use it often until you get to come down for good!
Where are you from by the way! Those are pretty cool temperatures.
I think SoFLGal mentioned Alaska. It would be pretty cold up there today.

Congrats! We have a waterfront lot in PC, but just yesterday had our offer on West Spring Lake in PC accepted! Inspections are this weekend. We'll be moving down from Michigan a few days after Christmas (with a newborn!). It was in the low 30s here this morning too, but warmed up to 68. Can't wait to be back in PC/PG this Friday!!!
