My husband and I with our 2 year old daughter are interested in moving to the Sarasota area sometime in the future, we are both trying to find jobs down there before we move so we are realizing that we may not move for quite a while!! BUT we are visiting in 3 weeks to look at neighborhoods and cities around Sarasota with the help of SoFLGal : ) I was just trying to figure out what we will be doing the rest of the time we are down there. We plan on going to the beach and relaxing but I think my daughter will want to do other things. We will be staying in Bradenton.
Any suggestions of fun things to do?
Places to eat?
Things we must see?
What are the best beaches to visit?
We are going to Magic Kingdom for one day.
is there a website with local things to do? Parks? Etc...

I have never been to this area before so I really only know what I can look up online.

Thank you!
Kathleen

Does anyone know of a place where you can go and feed birds? I saw something like this and now I can't fiind it - you were able to hand feed flamingos - how cool is that!

Also - we are planning on visiting Siesta Key Public beach, any other beach suggestions?

Thanks again!

Yup, that's Jungle Gardens where you can hand feed the flamingos.

I go to Nokomis Beach when I'm up that way and of course Siesta is nice but you need to get there early to get a parking spot.

we can add one, yesterday we visited a wolf sanctuary down in Naples. If you have never been licked on the face by a real wolf its a pretty awesome experience.

Didn't you almost feed your face to a tiger on your birthday! Some people might think I'm kidding.
