Going to court for water restriction violation. Not for cheating but for following Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) restrictions. Manatee Co and everyone else is:

Lawn watering continues to be limited to once a week per the following schedule:
Addresses with "House Numbers"
May only Irrigate on:
Ending in "0" or "1" Monday

Ending in "2" or "3" Tuesday

Ending in "4" or "5" Wednesday

Ending in "6" or "7" Thursday

Ending in "8" or "9" Friday

So we set the irrigation on Thursday in the proper time(address 5856). The violation was, they said it should of been on Tuesday because Sarasota made different days than swiftmud.

Sarasota:
Even addresses (house numbers ending with 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) may water only on Tuesday.
Odd addresses (house numbers ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) may water only Thursday.

So we were on Thursday instead of Tuesday.
This in my opinion is not something we should have to go to court and pay a fine. No warning, not cheating, correct time, and only one day per week. Whos fault is it anyway that we are in this situation? Sarasota gov decided in the 70's we werent going to need more water in the future.[/font]

Am I wrong?

Default what a waste of taxpayer court time

you should contact the local paper and tell your story. It's a ridiculous waste of court time and your time. Did you get the name of the genius who wrote the citation? And their bosses name who allowed it to stand.

Dumb and dumber.

actually I would guess that someone--a neighbor or someone in the area who saw your sprinklers go off--would be the person to make the complaint--
we get that in our area -- DFW TX--and some people who have their own wells for landscaping watering post signs in the yards with that fact--so people will not phone in complaints about their watering on non-allocated days/times...

Just got a call from the county. The court system has been overwelmed by all the water restiction court dates, and the court asked the county to call and let each off with a warning. So no court now. How funny is that.
