I used to live in Rivendell and it is a family safe community located right next door to Pine View.
Rivendell Cottages have some young families but mainly for the retired
Turtle Rock is family based and feeds Riverview HS with a Bacularate program whilst Rivendell feeds Venice HS which is not as highly rated as Riverview
Rivendell has had a recent speight of burglaries but I think that is the economy not the lack of gates

I read somewhere that nearly half if the homes occupied in Rivendell are occupied by families with children in Pine View. I can't remember where that was. Might have been in the Pine Views-the Pine View School newspaper.

From my living there 5 years I cannot see that 50% of Pine View parents live in Rivendell, but it certainly has plenty of PV kids there for sure

Honestly, Why would a family with a child going to college and another who is under 10 looking in Island Walk????????
It is basically a snow bird communities. Not for young families. Lakewood Ranch is your answer. Certainly, not a community such as Island Walk or Village Walk.

Your child must have an I.Q. of over 130 to get into Pine View - either the school or you can have him/her privately tested.

Laurel Nokomis school is nearby - which is highly rated - a 9 out of 10 on Greatschools.net
