I have to vent so please excuse me......

My patience has run out. I am going to scream if I don't get a new insurance company. I have Nationwide now....

When I was in Ohio I was paying $150 a month for my car insurance and that was for 3 new BMW's.

We try to go greener and got rid of the Bimmers and are driving a Prius and a Smart car and a Element and my ins. is over $330 a month AND I don't have the same amount of coverage. (No tickets, etc)

Now that I am here, I am calling them every month for some error.

First they said as soon as we got Fl. drivers licenses it would go down. We run out and get them and nothing. No change in the rate. That was the first agent and she quit mid stream and no one called to tell me. Then the 2nd girl starts up and suddenly she disappeared, They said she got sick and when I called again they said someone make a mistake and stacked the policy (whatever that means) and they took the stacking off and nothing....then last month it shot up to $470 and I called and they said "Oh it is the end of the policy, just pay it and then you won't own next month". Now I get another bill and it is over $400 a again. I'm on my 5th agent now and this is in 6 months!

I am the type who wants to pay my bill and never hear from them. I will pay my bill on time but in return, I would like to get bills with no mistakes. Mistakes cost me time and money.

I know Florida is more, but double for less coverage and no Bimmers? Then on top of that I have clowns handling my policies?

I loved my Nationwide Agent in Ohio, now I am here and I had to change to a new agent....

Who's got a good company I can call. You can DM me so the moderators don't think you are advertising.

Thanks

Thanks for the sources. I will be checking them out and getting quotes! Thanks

A little FYI to Nationwide customers, the Nationwide up north is not the same as the one down here. I would highly suggest switching your insurance.

If they are so disorganized over a bill, how would they be in a hurricane if there were tons of claims? I can't even imagine that.

Is it just me or is $4,000 a year for 3 basic cars, alot to pay for insurance with no kids driving them and no tickets or accidents????

She just called me and I have to pay this new "mystery bill" and then it will be $312 a month...I think it's alittle over 4K a year. That is crazy! Last month my bill was double, now this one is almost double and then it jumps up to $312??? No tickets, no excuses other than " we have the highest number of Seniors and Illegals and that is what drives it up" UGH!

HI Lady!

They are 2007. 2007 and 2009. I've called every place people here suggested and I am getting quotes $80 less a month, $100 less a month and I just got one from Geico for $150 less a month! We have no tickets and no accidents.

Thank you to everyone!

I have to say anyone coming down here call around for quotes. I am shocked at the differences!

Hey So Fl Gal~I called Allstate too. Geico is lower. This is a big thing for people relocating to Florida. I was shocked when I moved and my bill doubled. As I said they said " it is because FL is the second highest rates. NJ being #1 in highest rates due to Seniors and Illegals with no insurance.

Well, now I am a fan of that little gecko Their rates are cheapest. Plus it is great you sign up, pay, go right to your account and print your cards, can change your policy online, etc. It's all at your finger tips. AND they have no agents who get commission. So you don't have to wait for your agent to call you back. You just call the customer service # and anyone can help you

I'm thrilled and I would recommend anyone relocating to Florida to stop worrying. You don't have to pay double insurance.
