Does anyone know how many flights jetBlue operates into SRQ and how much success they are having with it?

I don't believe Sarasota has JetBlue, we don't even have Southwest Airlines here LOL

Check out Welcome to SRQ Online - Sarasota - Bradenton Airport (http://www.srq-airport.com/destinations.aspx - broken link). Per the airport's info, Jet Blue flies "daily" non-stop (year around) into New York (JFK). And from JFK you can connect elsewhere.

Thanks. I'm guessing then that it's just one inbound and outbound per day then.

Southwest and Air Tran both fly in and out of Ft. Myers, and both have HUBs in Baltimore too.
We seen flights this year as a low as $ 49.00 one way.

Yep, 2 flights a day from/to JFK. I've flown the route a bunch of times and it's really, really nice. Just book far in advance, because it gets expensive very fast.

My uncle insists on going to SRQ from BOS and always has to do a connecting flight ( and complains about it) . I always fly out of TPA because I can get direct/many flights all day long. I am a big SWA fan and they are excellent. I hear JB is good too but I don't like flying to BOS from TPA even if I can get a direct flight.

It's only an extra 30 mins over the bridge to TPA. My wife flys out of SRQ for business but only to ATL.

No offense to SRQ but I don't want to spend all day flying and waiting.

This post reminds me of the Bob & Tom skit "Ken Tarmack". Do you guys get Bob and Tom down there?? The skit consists of Ken Tarmack being one of those guys who is always on his cell phone just after you land or when you're waiting to get off the plane that talks really loud on his cell phone and never says the cities he's been to, he calls them all by their airport codes. Have you heard this? Or is it just a Midwestern thing? They're a syndicated radio show, but they are out of Indianapolis...
