Interesting, for some reason I thought it would be much colder "up north" by now. Probably the reason the restaurants and roads aren't too congested yet. Once our up north friends get the first cold snap, businesses will start to pick up down here.

Its unseasonably warm here in Minneapolis high of 56 today low of 41 tonite. It helps to make up for one of the coldest/wettest Octobers on record.

So it seems that where you are and all over the country, right now it's warmer than usual. Seems funny to say it's unseasonably warm with a high of 56

Looks like were getting a hurricane, Cat 1 coming our way. That's pretty unusual to have one in Nov. Usually the gulf water are to cold by Nov for them to gain much speed.

As long as you don't HAVE to go work outside in it, it's not a problem. Like SoFLGal said, people plan activities in the cooler parts of the day. I've come to have a new appreciation for the whole concept of Mexican siestas though.

SoFLGal, saying you hardly notice it, isn't very fair. You grew up with it.

Well hopefully we won't HAVE to go to work - maybe just part time so I'm thinking the heat shouldn't bother us too much - time will tell but I think you have to make the commitment, start a life there, meet friends etc. and take it from there.

True! I guess since I post that I'm a native so much I assume everyone has heard it before. I should have clarified that. I never had to get used to it since I was born here. If you don't like the heat then don't move here cause it sure gets hot in the summer time.

Take a visit in June-Aug and see if the weather is your "cup of tea" you should get a pretty good feel for the heat being here in any of those months

Very good advice, as usual.

Default warm in Asheville today

Unusually warm today in Asheville. Although I woke up to 39 degrees, it got up to 70 with clear skies.
December in Asheville. Maybe snow, maybe not. If the temps are cold enough and they usually are in Dec, we may see some. The higher mountains around us is a better bet. Come to Asheville, then head north to Boone. If there is precip. it will probably be snow.
