Hello everyone, I am new to this site so forgive me for posting something that was probably already asked. Here is what I am looking for:

I will live on the beach in RI from May to November, then I want a city/downtown sarasota condo near the water from December to May. We are in our late 40's and want to be where a younger crowd is. Not so much where we live, but in the downtown area. Our sarasota experience is more about downtown, good restuarants, shopping, bars, etc. We have been to Siesta Key many times and love it and can always head to the beach when we need to, but the mornings in Sarasota would be surrounded with walking near the water, marinas, etc.

So, with that I would love "sections" or "neighborhoods" in the city that are condusive to what I am describing. I would imagine that we could generate some rent for the months we are not there but know that those are the hotter months, but being in the city might generate some interest.....

Either way, your opinions are appreciated!

Thanks!

Laurel Park & Burn's Court area. I used to live on Palm Avenue, right around the corner from Burn's Court. Loved it!

Thanks for the response. I would imagine that we would "fit in" relative our age?

Since you want a condo near the water and downtown, there are many on Gulfstream and in the downtown area in general. It all depends on your price range and what type of living/amenities you prefer. Yes, you will love living in the waterfront/downtown area, it is very lively and cosmopolitan with all ages represented.
