There are many more good things than bad, to me: the beaches, the attractions that are close by, great shopping, nice places to dine out, the great weather! To me the weather is great here all year long, when its hot it is still great to me. When its 90 out you can still go outside and do somethings, when back in New York and its 2 degrees out, your stuck in the house for many months! The only bad thing for me is the traffic certain times of the year.

Fabulous small town with big city feel, lots of things going on year round in the arts, beautiful beaches & attractions.
It's the biggest oxycodone/roxycodone/xanaxed up town in Florida.

So many good things about the area that it's hard to single out just one but it has to be the weather and proximity to great beaches and beautiful caribbean blue-green water.

I like imagardner's description of the elderly, that made me smile because we're be like that one day. Sarasota is one of the cities on my list to check out. Don't know why I picked it because I don't know anything about Florida. Looking forward to checking things out.
