I think if your comparing with Tampa/St Pete, they seem a bit more conservative and less tollerant of differences out this way and a bit more bible belt oriented. This is how it seems to me, but I figure Id ask. I consider myself agnostic/atheist and I just notice its a bit more christian here. Not necessary even strictly southern christian, I mean with the midwest ppl who move here too it seems it.
Like I go to Goodwill and shop or Salvation army and I see T shirts more often that have church names on them or activities in the church + I get the vibe many of the older daytime thrift store shoppers are older and possibly christian. Thoughts?

yup, so what???

Yeah, but Homeland Security says the system worked (what passengers taking out terrorists)

The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country. These rights include:* Your First Amendment rights - freedom of speech, association and assembly; freedom of the press, and freedom of religion. * Your right to equal protection under the law - protection against unlawful discrimination. * Your right to due process - fair treatment by the government whenever the loss of your liberty or property is at stake. * Your right to privacy - freedom from unwarranted government intrusion into your personal and private affairs. The ACLU also works to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; women; lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people; prisoners; and people with disabilities. If the rights of society's most vulnerable members are denied, everybody's rights are imperiled. Support the ACLU today.

But yet we continue to frisk 90 year old women and take pillows out from under the heads of sleeping 5 year olds. Yeah, THAT'LL solve the problem!

What the ACLU does and what is says are two different things...My Fav is their fight for the rights of M.A.M.B.L.A... Where they think it's OK for adult men to have sex with young boys...nice Mr.Cool
