Yeah right now I think that's doable. I'd start looking around Palmer Ranch (Ashton Elementary) or Southside Village (Southside Elementary).

Did you try stingermanagement.com they usually have something in there. You'd have to look in the specific communities like: Turtle Rock, The Hamptons, Deer Creek, etc.

Interesting, I tried finding something in Palmer Ranch via craigslist, and when I removed Condos from the list, came up with only three hits, two of which were townhomes, and the remaining "real" posting was asking $2800/mo:

sarasota apts/housing for rent classifieds "palmer ranch -condo" - craigslist

SoFLGal is right, at higher price-points in nicer developments, I'd imagine homes are almost always under property management. We used Stringer back in the late 90's early 2000's and they were decent, though expensive in the fees department if you're the property owner.

Good luck!

HHH

Default Use the Public Multilist

I recently rented a small residential property to use as an office. After having a disappointing time with Craigslist, I simply went onto the public multilist:

Florida Homes for Sale direct from MLS

Once you have identified a property that meets your needs, call the realtor that is listing the property and go see it. That's what I did and I ended up renting the third property that I saw.

The listed property may already be listed with a management company. Through this process you can also find realtors who are willing to show you rentals. They don't get much in commission, but these are lean times, so the one month's rent that they can earn for listings that are not their own might make it worth it.
