If you've read any of the other "what is the best place" threads, someone starts out with your question, and inevitably someone replies with "you haven't given enough information to go on."

So ... budget? Size of home desired? Public or private schools? Amenities? Outdoor lifestyle family? Urban? Type of career(s)? etc. etc. The more you tell about yourself, the more people can help.

Thanks for the info.

We were actually looking to rent possibly for the first year to make sure the area is what we want so would want to be around 900-1,200 per month. As far as a school system goes my kids are 3-1/2 and 2 so a good public school would be fine but there again i haven't done a lot of research about public schools in that area. We like to be outdoors and would like an area with lots of different things to do. We don't really have a preferance as far as downtown or an urban area just prefer family friendly. My wife and i are both 25 i am a purchasing manager and my wife is an aspiring photographer so we naturally like art and the art culture. We would prefer to be in an area with younger couples. Thanks again and all feed back is appreciated.

Look at Anna Maria Island. AMI elementary is an excellent school; my kids went there. You have the beach/water/outdoors/serenity factor out on the island. You could find an annual rental in your budget. Photography opportunities are abundant on the island. There is the community center in the city of Anna Maria on the island that caters to family activities. The only drawback is getting off the island on the weekends during January through April...google anna maria island. It's 10 miles west of town.

Great suggestion LWAF! I concur with AMI School. I went there as a kid and loved it and I had friends with kids there.
