I am in the process of gathering the information required to renew my FL driver's license.
I am personally finding the information required to be a PITA (pain in the *$$) to find, i.e. (birth certificate state certified/still hoping mine is good with the raised stamp?), social security card (mine doesn't match my name/however my SS yearly statement does), marriage license showing why my name is different than my birth certificate even though I'm no longer married, probably will bring along my divorce paperwork just for the h*ll of it, voting license listing my address that of course, does not currently match my DL.
I wonder if the terrorists had to produce this much documentation?

I have to renew my Maine DL in June but won't be moving to Florida til July or August, then I'll have to change it over to FL. What a nuisance that'll be. I'm glad I kept my own name when I married. Saves a lot of bother.

I just looked at my drivers license and for gosh sakes it expires in a couple of months. I'm going to have to go through the same process.
Half my stuff, including my current DL is in my maiden name.

Mine expires this year but I kept my maiden name when I got married. I've actually had the same license since I was 19, for 18 years now. My picture looks nothing like I look now. I guess if I only have to do it every 18 years I can suffer through it.

LOL this is funny lady. I went through the process a few months back after finding out my license had expired 2 years prior ! Good thing im a safe driver
. They slammed me with fines and late fees, it was less than amusing.

I just renewed mine, and changed it to Florida. I think I had to bring two forms of ID beside my old drivers license. I used my Birth Certificate, Social Security, and a tax return. Florida changed their whole system. You're drivers licenses expire on your birthday.
