Wouldn't it make more sense to simply message the OP with a paragraph on how to use the search function?

Or, seeing as the topic of real estate in general and realtors in particular are so prevalent, why not have a sub-forum?

Maybe I am too new here to make such suggestions, but, well, without bold presumptuousness, where would any of us be?

Here's a note TO realtors. Although we were happy our realtor found us the perfect house to buy and then a cleaner to help clean before moving in I have not rec'd her because after the sale day we never had one single contact from her and we know she lives just 2 streets from us because she told us that.

Are realtors afraid because buyers might find things wrong with the house after they move in? And didn't want to deal with it? I would think they would send a TY card with several of their own business cards so we could pass them along. It made us think that maybe there WAS something wrong and she didn't want to be around.

We just thought it was off-putting. So she lost several referrals. But then I understand that the money is made in getting listings not getting referrals from buyers. C'est la vie.

I have had realtors do it both ways.

Obviously, realtors are sales people. Some will sell you the house, wish you good luck, and tell you to give them a call if there's anything you need. I see no problem with that.

On the other hand, of course it feels better all-around if there is some follow-up, and I think it's solid post-close salesmanship/humanity, but I really don't think it should be "off-putting" if they do not do this.

It should be impressive when they do, but not worth a judgment when they don't.
