I lived in Arcadia for seven years until I moved back north in 89. I moved to the mid west for work and family but do not like it all that much. Florida has always been special in my heart. Although arcadia is not my cup of tea I had family there. Arcadia was a bit of or a lot of a red neck town when I lived there. It may very well have changed but the old timers did not want the town to come into the twentyth century. But we used to every week end go to Sarasota or Bradenton area to have a drink see a movie ect. How are things now.

I doubt Arcadia has changed much. It seems very rooted to its past. Good luck! I would say that the other areas have grown and modernized quite a bit by comparison. You should come visit, and reaquaint yourself.
