We are looking to move to the Bradenton/ Parrish area this summer, buying a house 4br/3ba preferbably 3 car grages, with a straight pool,
can't seem to find specific info on deed restrictions, HOA's, and CCD's, taxes, other fees, costs> rubbish, utilities,
my wife does Avon, will be looking for a Nurse mgt job (quality, joint commision, responsibilities) I am semi retired and I repair computers in my home, and some small local home repairs, and don't wan't to land in too restrictive a community, I also have a 9' row boat, yet I hear you cant row in most ponds?
or the fish in ponds are sterile carp(yuck) or vegitarian fish!
I also previously scuba dived, and like fishing.

can anyone one advise resonably?
is there any other questions I should be asking? (please answer them )
thanks, I just discover this forum tonight, and it is really interesting!
thanks
Ken

Given your information, I would suggest renting for a while in Bradenton first. Now, YES, many areas in Bradenton are not safe, and I wouldn't recommend staying in some of these areas. However, we moved to Bradenton and are STILL renting here (in the process of buying).. It's close to the beach, in town, near lots of ameneties, dining, Walmart, Target, Churches, Banks and some fun hang out spots for Jr. Pick a good apartment complex (Vista at Palma Sola on 75th, Springs at Palma Sola on 63rd?, and maybe even Palms of Cortez Condos that do annual rentals)..You can learn the area, and learn where you may want to purchase. Almost all apartments here have boat spots too, so you wouldn't have to worry about that. Bradenton areas are nice if you stay West of 59th Street, and Out East near I75 (Carlton Arms Apartments are out that direction)..
Heading out to Parrish right away may not be the best move. It's quite a ways out there and could leave you in trouble with your business, as well as make a long commute for your son. Last we looked out that way, my husband and I were not too impressed with what we saw- when at one time, we loved it out there..
Check out the nice areas of Bradenton, and you may even be able to find a home to rent.. you have to decide East (country) or West (beach town).. then go from there. Just my advice : )
