I am starting to think that my mother-in-law who is a 30 year teacher in Miami may have a point in her theory that the current legislation is motivated from greed rather than educational concerns
.
She believes that the politicians behind this bill are heavily vested in various private schools in Florida. If gifted programs are slashed, parents across the state will be seeking alternate educational choices for their children = private schools. Makes one wonder?
