Hi, since moving to Sarasota may actually happen this summer I am interested in some of the little details now (well, ALL the little and big details lol). I was looking for parks in the area and found this list:

Sarasota's Best Playgrounds for Children

i was hoping to see some pictures , anyone been to these parks? do they have lots of playground equipment for the kids? I didn't really notice any playgrounds when i was there. I will be in Sarasota in about 2 weeks i think so I can check it out then I guess

I have an 8 year old and we go to the new park off Bee Ridge. I'm not sure of the name. It seems to be very popular.

We always go to Bayfront park.. super nice, right by Marina Jacks, large padded playground.. plus the fountains start in May. There is a nice path to walk and check out all the great boats and plenty of benches near the playground and closer to the bay.. I hear a lot of people talking about Centennial park??

From a grandpa's perspective.

Urfer Park on Bee Ridge is nice but gets busy. Playground and Bathrooms

Rothenback park at the eastern end of Bee Ridge is a bit quieter and has two walking trails 1 mile and a 3 mile. Both have playground equipment. If you have a way to transport bikes the 3 mile round trip is nice, deer are often spotted. Bathrooms.

Arlington is good, walking trail and playground equipment. You can sign up and use the pool too.
I think the bathrooms are in the rec building.

Colonial Oaks off of Bahia Vista on Honore. Playground and Bathrooms.
Bayfront Park is OK and has bathrooms and of course the water views.

One last suggestion would be Pinecraft park off of Bahia Vista. They have an adjoining wooded area along Phillipi Creek for kids to explore.Playground and bathrooms.

Let me know if you need more!
