That's great! It's exciting and frustrating all at the same time waiting to have it finished. We will be back down in mid September and can't wait to start adding the touches that make the pool area a real part of our home. I'm really tired of being up here. Hopefully within the next 8 months we will be there for good.

That seems pretty unreasonable. My brother had a pool constructed in Cape Coral last year. It took them a little time to get the permit.

What I advised him is that, he add to his contract that once the permit is received (because he cannot control how long the jurisdiction takes to issue that - neither can the contractor), that he give the pool contractor 30 calendar days to complete the work (pool, pool deck, and lanai) ready for proper operation and intended use, and add a liquidated damages amount that was fair - say $100 per day. They finished in 30 days - no problem. Maybe this concept will help others that contract for work here.

Beachbum, I will be coming down the beginning of next month. Lets go fishing - I know a few others here that wanta go too.

I just wanted to let you know that Siesta Pool did a wonderful job on our pool. It is beautiful. It was done on budget and on time. I highly recommend them.

Read through this thread and would like to know if anyone else out there has any recommendations since this is an older thread. We are considering putting in a pool and I really don't want to make a huge mistake by hiring the wrong person.

Any and all input is really appreciated.

Guy Gaetano of Siesta Pools did our pool 8 years ago. We were and are very pleased with the installation.
