My fiancee just was accepted at AASU and we are having a very hard time finding anything affordable. We had no idea Savannah was this expensive in terms of rent cost. We found a place called Timberland apartments. Does anyone know about them? Here is a link...

I went to Pooler ( off of i-16) and wasn't too impressed to be honest with you. Is there another area in Pooler that I should be looking out for? Thanks for the response man.

You don't happen to know about Timberland Apartments do you?

It would be easier to get to AASU from Timberland than from Pooler. Big difference in amount of gasoline needed. The area is good for just about anything you could want. I really don't know how the apartments are, but if you can handle the price, go for it! You could do worse...much worse.

My roommate goes to Armstrong and we live at Alta Towne Lake in Pooler. It is in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path but very close to everything and it is the cheapest place around. It is very safe and full of families. I have never had a problem there.

Timberland is an area? Or are you referring to the apartments? I google earthed the area and it doesn't look back. Just trying to figure out why the apartments are so cheap.

Although I must say it is beautiful, the cheapest apartment is 700 a month.

cheapest isnt all to look for. cheapest that has decent neighbors, responds to problems, and keeps up on the buildings is the apartment you should pick. I could find some roach infested place, with a crappy office, bad neighbors and broken into cars for lots less than i pay out in pooler. I am not saying all apartments are bad, just make sure cheapest isnt your only criteria. If the apartment has a gate that is closed most of the time even better. drive thru any apartment you are considering on a friday night at 10-11pm and see how loud it is.
