hello I am new to the forum but have been reviewing many posts.

I currently live in Texas but am looking for an area close to the Atlantic.
My dream is to be able to look out onto my terrace each morning and see the beautifull blue ocean. I was wondering if anyone had any info on small towns, low housing costs, on the coast or waterfront properties with lots of land or a more secluded type area within 20-30 min drive from Savanna or large hospital. When I move there I will be working in a hospital, hopefully one of the larger one. BTW I wont have any kids in school, so school areas are not an issue. Also I was hoping to find an area with the least amount of hurricane problems, I heard Tybee was a nice area but expensive, and if anyone has any info on water temp. that would be great.

Thanks in avance for any info.

Sorry, but you are asking for the impossible. Waterfront property, even on a small little muddy salt water creek, is expensive. Anything within 20-30 minutes could only be Tybee Island. A view of the ocean would be possible only at Tybee or Skidaway Island.....which would be even more pricey.

You might find something down in the Brunswick area. There will be hospitals there, but not as big as the ones in Savannah.
