I am 18 and have never obtained a drivers permit! I was wondering if i can still get my drivers license with out taking the drug and alcohol class. I understand that i must take a written and drivers test. I must also add that i am still in school so does that change things for me? what do i really need to do? thank you in advance!

Here's the link. Department of Driver Services

As far as I know you shouldn't have a problem. Just read through their website and call them if you have questions.

I just read the section for people 18 and older who are applying for their first license. It only says that you have to obtain your learners permit before taking the driving exam.

This is why I posted the link for the OP to read herself. People need to be responsible for finding and reading basic info and stop relying on others to interpret it for them. That's why we're rapidly becoming one of the stupidest nations in the world.

Neither of you. Don't be so paranoid, it was a general statement.

This is off-topic, but it will support what I was talking about and why I'm so irritated by the apparent intellectual laziness of the general population.
