Hello,

Looking for best hotel to stay at somewhere in Savannah, walking distance to nightlife.

Looking for young (20's-30's) nightlife crowd; bars and lounge scene (If you know any good places for Friday and Saturday night, please let me know too) .

Please reply with your top 2 suggestions, just in-case first one is booked.

Thanks

Rocks on the Roof on the top floor of The Bohemian is probably the hottest spot in town. Do you consider an elevator ride walking distance? And The Avia faces Ellis Square and City Market which has about 20 bars and clubs.

Never been to Savannah before, have you? LOL

Besides ... "walking" from hotel to bar to bar to bar to hotel to bar again is what makes Savannah so much fun -- there's no open container law, so if you don't like the crowd at one spot just pour your drink in a "to-go" cup and head somwhere else.

Ive been there a bunch, but was mostly in 05,06,07.. I travel so much, all the places start to run together, but I do remember generally liking Savannah.

Thanks for the replies...

I think you'll like The Bohemian for what you're looking for -- IF the cost isn't too prohibitive. It's not cheap. Neither is the Avia. If that's a concern, the Hilton Garden, Hyatt and others are just as close to everything.

FYI, anything you find located in the Historic District will be walking distance to all the festivities and the river front.

Also, take it from someone who really knows, make Doubletree or Hilton Garden Inn one of your last choices on your list. It's valet only and they will charge $25 a night (at Doubletree). Not only that, both are managed poorly.
BTW, you will have valet at just about every hotel in the Historic District due to limited parking. In some cases, it may be worth it to valet.
